Glenaldor House Statement – 30th June

The health and welfare of Guests has always been paramount at Glenaldor House and has never been more so than in the current climate.

From the 15th July I look forward to welcoming guests again.

With this in mind a full risk assessment has been conducted within the B&B. Appropriate controls have been enhanced along with controlled measures, all to minimise the risk of infection from COVID19.

I would like to share with you some of the measure & safety steps that have been put in place to ensure a safe environment for your stay. These steps have been introduced in line with Government and Industry guidelines.

Enhanced cleaning beyond our usual high standards. All key areas will be cleaned and sanitised in line with Government Guidelines with special attention given to touch points such as door handles & light switches Guest rooms will be cleaned with quality cleaners and disinfectants

All linens and towels will be washed at +60 degrees

Cleaning will take place while wearing masks and gloves

Face coverings will be worn be myself and high levels of hand cleanliness and hygiene will be maintained The processes below have been introduced;

The number of rooms available at any one time has been reduced

Social Distancing will be in place throughout the communal areas such as the dinning room

Face Coverings will be worn by myself on the arrival of a guest, during breakfast service and during any cleaning process(along with gloves) Guest will be asked to provide an arrival time to ensure there is no overlap with other guests

Hand sanitising stations for guest use will be available at the entrance hall and the landing of the staircase to rooms Unnecessary items such as cushions, blankets, throws etc have been removed

from bedrooms. Printed material has been restricted. Tea, coffee, milk & sugar packets have been reduced in quantity Tourism literature such as information leaflets have been removed from the entrance hall

All guest requests should be made by text message rather than in person

Bedrooms will cleaned and sanitised to a high standard with special attention given to key touch points such as light switches, remote control and plug sockets. All hospitality trays will be cleaned and refreshed with new items for each new guest.

All key touch points within communal areas will be cleaned throughout the day

Breakfast will continue to be served within the dinning room. However, there will be strict and limited service times to ensure social distancing measures. Breakfast will be pre-ordered the night before and there will be no self service options The dinning room will only be open for breakfast service. Therefore you will not be able to bring in or have delivered any form of takeaway food There will be no availability for early check-ins or late check-outs

Guests can still pay by cash if they wish. However, the preferred method is by debit or credit card. The card machine will be sanitised before and after use.

I ask that all guest respect and follow the COVID19 guidelines.

Glenaldor House will be open to guests from the 15th July and bookings will be restricted to ensure there is a minimum of guests in the house at any one time. Please check the website for availability.

I reserve the right to cancel any booking should the government change their advice on the reopening or indeed re-introduce the lock down.

If Glenaldor House is open to guests and you have an existing booking or make a new booking the standard Cancellation Policy and T&C’s apply. These are all available to view at glenaldorhouse.co.uk If you are feeling unwell and show signs of COVID19 then please do not travel and follow the NHS/Government Guidelines (www.gov.scot/collections/coronavirus-Covid-19-guidance) If you feel unwell during your stay or show signs of COVID 19 then in line with Government Guidelines you will be asked to return home and seek medical advice.
