Laggan Activity Centre near Gatehouse of Fleet in Dumfries and Galloway has long been renowned as a great place to visit for those looking for an outdoor active holiday.
With Segway rides, Mountain Boarding, Clay Pigeon Shooting and many more activities available they have now opened the “Jewel in the Crown” with the introduction of their ZIP – WIRE which at 820 Metres is the longest in the UK by quite some distance.
The wire has a double Zip Line which allows 2 people to take off together. A 10 minute off-road journey takes you to the “Launch Pad” and once safely harnessed in the team will do the necessary safety checks, talk you through the basics and then you are OFF. You will be travelling 30 metres off the ground and reaching speeds up to 40 MPH!!!!!
If you can manage to look you will get a great Arial view of the centre below as you speed down, however I understand the wire steers well clear of the Clay Pigeon Shooting Area!!!!!
